John P. Sande IV
John P. Sande IV is a member of the Jones Vargas Government Relations and Transactional Practice Groups.
A scholar athlete and four-year letter winner at Stanford University, Mr. Sande led the Cardinal football team in the 2000 Rose Bowl as the team's long snapper. His father, John P. Sande III, also attended Stanford, making them the only father-son combination in Stanford history to play in the Rose Bowl. Their tradition as a father-son team now continues at Jones Vargas.
While in law school, Mr. Sande served as the senior comments editor for the award winning Santa Clara Law Review and published “A River Runs to It: Can the Public Trust Doctrine Save Walker Lake?”, 44 Santa Clara L. Rev. 831 (2004). Active in the community, Mr. Sande is a board member for several non-profit organizations including the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network, an organization that recently named him one of the top 20 young professionals in the Reno-Tahoe area.
Mr. Sande holds a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Nevada and is a member of the Washoe County Bar Association.
