Kerry Sutherland
Mass Media Communications

Kerry is passionate about culture, and is deeply committed to sharing her love and knowledge about the world with others. As a contributing freelancer journalist to various publications, she has had the opportunity to write about cultural events, museum exhibits, and historical monuments in northern Nevada. Her love of culture and adventure led her to Milan, Italy where she worked in the fashion industry and to the southwest of France where she studied at the Université de Pau.

Kerry’s diverse experiences, and leadership abilities have made her an excellent addition to the MassMedia team. As an account executive, Kerry is responsible for creating marketing strategies and press materials, event planning, coordination of client newsletters, copyediting, and media and client relations for accounts on a local and national level.

In addition to her role at MassMedia, Kerry has been a volleyball coach for the Sierra Nevada Volleyball Club and participated in tournaments around the country. She earned a duel Bachelor of Arts in journalism and French from the University of Nevada, Reno where she was named “Top Public Relations Student of the Year” in 2006-2007. In addition to her professional responsibilities; Kerry is a member of the marketing committee for Susan G. Komen, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer, and was recently named Communication Chair for the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network (YPN). She also actively participates in organizations such as the Nevada Museum of Art, the University of Nevada Young Alumni Association and serves as the president of the Young Alumni Association for Bishop Manogue High School.
